NutriChem Pharmacists will be offering 15-minute appointment slots, Monday-Friday, both virtually and in-person.

Pharmacists across Ontario are now able to prescribe* in real-time without a Doctor's appointment for 13 of the most common ailments.

This is welcome news, seeing our incredibly skilled Pharmacists can now help many more people who need it with no need to see a doctor first.

We strongly believe in having Pharmacists as part of one’s healthcare team. Pharmacists are medically and clinically trained to assess patients and prescribe for the list of ailments if appropriate.

*prescribing is based on the pharmacist’s best judgement.

12 Ailments Ontario Pharmacists can now Prescribe Medication for:

  • Urinary Tract Infection

  • Oral Thrush

  • Dermatitis (including eczema, atopic dermatitis, & contact dermatitis)

  • Pink Eye

  • Severe Menstrual Cramps

  • Acid Reflux

  • Hemorrhoids

  • Cold Sores

  • Impetigo

  • Insect Bites & Hives

  • Tick Bites (post-exposure to prevent Lyme disease)

  • Sprains & Strains

  • Hay Fever (seasonal & perennial)

If you are dealing with one of the issues on the list or think you may have one of the conditions, then a conversation with a pharmacist may be right for you.

We recommend you book an appointment in advance, but note that an appointment is not required. Ontario Pharmacists Clinical appointments will be covered by OHIP.

Yes, it is covered. Please note that a valid OHIP card must be presented upon registration.

An appointment is not required; however, it is encouraged as we are unable to predict wait times. Please note that walk-ins will be seen on a first come first serve basis.
